Initiatives of Media Women (IMW), established in 2011, is a network of Nepali women media professionals committed to advancing gender equity through media advocacy, capacity-building training, and research.

IMW makes a difference by empowering women in media through skills training, advocacy, and storytelling. We amplify voices for gender justice and inclusion, foster collaboration among South Asian women journalists, and create impactful, gender-sensitive content. By challenging stereotypes and promoting equal representation, we strive to build a more inclusive, just, and informed media landscape.
